Known as one of the country’s most promising stand-up comedians who got his start working in comedy bars, Vice Ganda (who plays himself in this episode) opens up the truth behind all the laughter on Maalaala Mo Kaya this Saturday.
Although he grew up in a community where poverty and violence was all around him, Vice Ganda did his best to hide his true sexuality from his father, a barangay kagawad who would often maltreat his two older gay brothers, Emmanuel and Babot. After tragedy struck their family and his mother left for the States to become a caregiver, Vice finally found the guts to come out of the closet. Unlike his two brothers, Vice did not experience any discrimination because of his talent and perseverance.
The episode also stars Al Tantay, malou De Guzman, Mel Martinez, Marini Alano, Joem Bascon, Zeppi Borromeo, Mark Joshua Sayarot, John Manalo, EJ Jallorina and Alcris Galura. Directed by Mae Cruz and written by Ruel Montanez, don't miss this beautiful episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya this Saturday, after The Singing Bee on ABS-CBN.
