Bea Alonzo admitted that she initially got alarmed when she learned that photos showing her clad in a bikini from her upcoming movie, And I Love You So, got published for fear that this might pre-empt her latest film project. I just didn't expect na lalabas siya," explained Bea. True enough, those who have seen the photos expressed positive feedback on Bea's better and sexier physique. "I'm working on reinventing myself again," she explained. I want to become a woman para may iba akong mao-offer sa tao."
It was actually her mentor, director Laurenti Dyogi, who motivated her to work on her weight. Bea shared that Direk Lauren would tease her everyday and succeeded in sending the message across. "Kilalang-kilala na ako ni Direk Lauren, so alam niya kung paano ako imo-motivate, may it be sa eksena and also sa personal life," she related. For her diet, Bea has cut on the carbohydrates but eats meat for protein. She also attends yoga classes regularly and is planning to enroll in dance classes to help her tone her muscles.
Although she has shed off 15 lbs. in four months, Bea said that she intends to continue on improving her figure, but she ruled out the idea of being "model thin". "Big-boned talaga ako. I don't think magiging stick thin ako kasi that's my (body-type) may curves talaga ako. I can't be really thin." With a trimmer body, Bea said that she can now wear sexier clothes, just like the one she wore during the pocket press conference for And I Love You So. "Now I can wear this (kind of dress) sa ganitong press con and I wouldn't care (what would people say). Feeling ko as you age, you know kung ano 'yung worth mo. Alam ko kung ano 'yung kaya mong gawin and ano ang value mo as a person."
