Rafael Rosell is slowly moving on barely three weeks after his bitter split with Malaya Lewandowski. At the story conference of Your Song Presents: Underage last Wednesday, February 11, Rafael confessed that he no longer has any grudge against his ex-girlfriend. “Hindi na ako galit sa kanya. I just wish she told me the truth dahil sa isang relationship you work together as a team. The best thing you can do at least is to communicate openly or tell each other kung ano ‘yung problema instead of going to someone else and talk about it and eventually falling in love with that person. There are certain things that people shouldn’t be doing. But when they do ‘those things’ I don’t respect that. ‘Yun na lang ang issue ko pero toward her wala na.”
The 26-year-old actor-model said that Malaya “left him for another guy.” While he’s in the process of moving on, Rafael admitted that he has no plans of getting into a new relationship anytime soon. “I have been hanging out a lot with my friends and have been seeing the other sides of life. I realized that there is just so much more out there that just staying home of being in a relationship. Single life pala is not as bad as my single friends said it was. You just have to open your eyes to see that there is life out there. I’ve seen how single life can be lived so enjoy ko muna ‘yun.”
When asked if he is willing to give Malaya a second chance if she should ask for it, Rafael instantly replied, “No. I don’t give second chances. If I give second chances, what’s the point of giving my 100% in a relationship?” The Coverboy hunk revealed that he gave all his love for the Koolchx singer during their three-year relationship, hence he was deeply hurt with how things ended for the two of them.
After the breakup, Rafael vented out his emotions in the status messages of his Facebook account. “‘Yung mga sinulat ko sa Facebook came really from my emotions. I believe we all have the right to go through this kind of moment of insanity. Pagdating naman sa love I think we are all allowed to do that. The things that I wrote there were acts of insanity for that particular moment. Looking back I shouldn’t have done it. I know I was wrong. I was just reaching out to see kung sino ang susuporta sa akin because I had no one talaga. It was like the whole world disappeared from beneath my feet. But seeing all the comments I saw the support from many people. Maraming, maraming salamat talaga because it helped me get through the pain. Sa Facebook you invite people to know more about your life. It worked like a therapy that many people were behind me on this.”
