Judy Ann Santos returns to doing teleseryes in Huwag ka Lang Mawawala

With an acting career that has spanned over 27 years, Judy Ann Santos says she has just always maintained a genuine love for the craft. “For me, there is no real secret on hwo to maintain your status in showbiz. If you love what you’re doing and if you love and respect the people you’re working with, the support of the people for you will never fade,” she admits. Considered as one of trend-setting television royalty, Juday’s body of work in the Kapamilya network makes her a legend in her own right having starred in unforgettable ground-breaking teleseryes like Mara Clara, Esperanza, Ysabella, Sa Piling Mo and Krystala among others.
Juday also made waves in acting by being the youngest actress to be features in the Star Drama Theater anthology. She also went on to have the distinction to be the only young actress to appear three times in this anthology. It is no surprise that throughout her career, Juday can boast of having already won 15 acting awards and 2 producing awards (for Ploning) as well as having amassed a total of 51 acting nominations.
As part of ABS-CBN’s celebration of 60 years of Philippine television, the Kapamilya network offers another masterpiece in the upcoming new soap Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala where Juday will play the role of Anessa Panaligan, a strong woman and loving daughter who will do everything for the sake of her family. “This story is about women empowerment. It fights for the rights of women and shows the strength of every human to fight for the principles that they believe in,” she shares. Juday, who’s most recent project on television was the hit reality show Master Chef Pinoy edition, says she has mixed emotions about going back to a teleserye. “I’m feeling nervous and thankful at the same time. I’m really flattered to be given this kind of project and I’m very thankful to ABS-CBN because they have been supporting me and giving me wonderful projects for the longest time,” she admits. Also joining her in the new drama is Sam Milby, KC Concepcion, John Estrada, Tirso Cruz III, Coney Reyes, Susan Africa, Mylene Dizon, Matet De Leon, Empress, Bryan Termulo and Joseph Marco.
As a hands-on mom, the 35-year-old actress admits she still prioritizes her family by keeping a taping schedule thrice a week with a cut-off at midnight so she can stil spend time with her kids and husband Ryan Agoncillo.
